Scholarship Categories

The University of Alberta offers two main types of scholarships:

1. Admission-Based Scholarships (no separate application required)

• Gold Standard Scholarship: Up to CAD $6,000 for the top 5% of students in each faculty

• U of A Global Citizen Scholarship (IB Diploma): Up to CAD $53,000 per year for 4 years for IB graduates with leadership experience from Aga Khan Academies

• Be incoming undergraduate students at the University of Alberta
• Hold an excellent admission average (criteria vary by award)
• Demonstrate leadership, community engagement, or notable extracurricular achievements
